12 Michael Jackson Fans Commit Suicide · July 10, 2009
On June 29, Sky News and many other sources reported that Gary Taylor, president and owner of MJJcommunity.com, a website dedicated to Michael Jackson, “said he understood the tragedies had mostly taken place outside of the UK but he believed one may have been British… ‘I know there has been an increase, I now believe the figure is 12…’” he said.
“Jesse Jackson, a friend of the singer, has recorded a YouTube film on the site urging fans not to ‘self destruct’. ‘It made Michael happy saying ‘We Are The World’. Don’t self destruct.’”
Idolizing someone to the extent that one would commit suicide is a type of cult practice. The cult of Michael Jackson will certainly see more bizarre behavior. Michael Jackson was promoting occult practices through much of his music, particularly his album Thriller, the best-selling album of all time.
