Czech President will not Sign the Lisbon Treaty · October 14, 2009
The London Times Online reported on October 13, 2009 that Vaclav Klaus, the president of the Czech Republic has said he has no intention of signing the Lisbon Treaty. The statement is interpreted in London as “a move that might allow David Cameron time to hold a British referendum on Europe.” David Cameron is the most likely successor to Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Brown’s popularity has plummeted and could be forced to hold elections before his term is up next year. Cameron and the Czech leader share a fierce skepticism about the European Union.
The Polish president has now signed the treaty in the wake of the Irish vote to support it. Klaus “is the last obstacle for the agreement after its ratification in the other 26 EU states but he has told supporters that he will never sign… Asked during a walkabout on Sunday not to put his name to the treaty, Mr Klaus replied: “Don’t worry, I won’t.”
Mr Klaus is demanding an opt-out for the Czech Republic that would prevent German families expelled [from the Czech Republic] after the Second World War from lodging property claims at the European Court of Justice, saying that the treaty as it is presently written would “whip up an avalanche of property claims.”
The EU had hoped to finalize the Lisbon Treaty at a meeting planned for October 29 and 30. But Klaus’ statement will likely make this impossible.
The Czech parliament has approved the treaty. “The lack of agreement from Mr Klaus will infuriate other EU members, particularly France and Germany, which are pushing hard to wrap up the Lisbon treaty saga.”
Perhaps once again the angels are holding back the rise of the Holy Roman Empire for a time. If the ruling prime minister in Britain is changed in the next few months, it could be a completely new situation, particularly if the British People have the opportunity to hold a referendum on the unpopular treaty.
The Bible predicts that Rome will rise to power in Europe once again, so it is only a matter of time before the treaty, or something like it will centralize power in the European Union. Rome wants this because she can then manipulate fewer people to accomplish her purposes for all of Europe. The “deadly wound” of Revelation 13:3 will be healed both geo-religiously and geopolitically. For a global religion to be possible, Rome has to be able to dominate global politics and the global economy at least from behind the scenes. But Rome continues to seek open recognition of her supranational status wherever she can. Without Europe in her “pocket,” she will never be able to manage the global religion for the rest of the world.
If Vaclav Klaus refuses to sign the treaty, you can be sure that Euro leaders will do whatever they can to put tremendous pressure on him. If he is able to hold out long enough for a change in British leadership, the whole European Union could be delayed significantly. Remember, nothing can happen in terms of prophetic developments without permission from the throne room in heaven.
