Argentina; First Latin Country to Legalize Gay Marriage · July 20, 2010
“Argentina has become the first country in Latin America to legalize gay marriage after the Senate voted in favor,” reported the BBC, by just six votes (33 to 27), amid rival demonstrations in the streets outside Congress.
“The law, which also allows same-sex couples to adopt, had met with fierce opposition from the Catholic Church and other religious groups.
We hope “that Argentina, from today forward, is a more just country for all families,” said Maria Rachid, president of the Argentine Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transsexuals.
Note that homosexuals present themselves as victims of an unjust society, and that gay marriage is the solution.
“‘All that my boyfriend and I want is to adopt a child and be accepted by society,’” said Lionel, Cordoba, Argentina.
It is impossible to have children outside the relationship between a man and a woman. Therefore marriage is obviously and naturally between them, not between those that cannot procreate. This was God’s intention when he created man and woman. Yet, homosexuals think that this arrangement as authored by our creator is somehow unjust, as if God Himself is unfair to them.
“Civil unions between people of the same sex are legal in Buenos Aires and in some other provinces but there was no law to regulate it on a country-wide level.”
“Argentina’s capital [Buenos Aires] is widely considered to be among the most gay-friendly cities in Latin America. It was the first Latin American city to legalize same-sex unions. Same-sex civil unions are also legal in Uruguay and some states in Brazil and Mexico, while gay marriage is legal in Mexico City.”
“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Luke 17:28-30
